frequently asked questions
Have questions about Transpet’s pet relocation services? Here are some answers to commonly asked queries.
A pet health certificate is an official document issued by a licensed veterinarian stating that your pet is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and fit for travel. It’s required by most airlines, international borders, and sometimes even local authorities to ensure pets are free from contagious diseases and safe to transport.
It’s best to get the health certificate issued within 7–10 days before your pet’s travel date, depending on destination requirements. Some countries or airlines may have stricter timelines, so it’s important to plan in advance. Our team can help you meet deadlines and make sure the documents remain valid through the entire travel period.
The certificate typically includes your pet’s identification details (breed, age, microchip), vaccination history, recent examination results, and a vet’s declaration of fitness to travel. For international trips, it may also include parasite treatment records and approval stamps from government animal health authorities.
Only a licensed and accredited veterinarian can issue a pet health certificate. For international travel, the certificate may also need to be endorsed by a government veterinary body (like AQCS in India). Our team coordinates directly with certified vets to ensure all documents are legally valid and accepted.
